This unit is responsible for managing all procurement and contracting processes for goods and services that meet the institution’s operational and administrative needs. It is also responsible for the storage and distribution of procured goods, materials, and supplies, as well as for ensuring the proper management of the institution’s assets.
In accordance with the rules on prohibitions, the constitutional and legal principles established by the General Public Procurement Law (Law 9986) and its implementing regulations, and the provisions of Article 128(b) of this law, the Costa Rican Red Cross Association, through this platform, aims to promote transparency and accountability in the procurement processes it conducts using public funds, when Law 9986 does not apply to them according to the scope of application indicated in Article 1 of the General Public Procurement Law and Article 1 of its regulations.
